This beauty was taken some time ago, on a clear bright blue sky morning walk in late August. It’s a decaying leaf.
Lost in a pile
Unnoticed
Discarded
Past it’s prime.
Yet, when I picked it up and held it to the light, it shone!Resilient and bright.
This leaf has a special place now in my studio. Although it looks brown and dull indoors- it’s a little reminder to myself that there is beauty everywhere and in everything - including ourselves.
It’s a reminder that sometimes the ‘golden’ opportunity you thought you missed out on wasn’t actually the right one for you / all it was cracked up to be.
It’s also a reminder that sometimes we need to change our environment or circumstances to recognise ourselves. That there are parts of ourselves we may have lost touch with and don’t recognise anymore.

Each limited edition photography print is posted in a flat hard-back envelope, and wrapped in acid free tissue paper.
Printed on cotton etching 308gsm archival matte paper
A signed certificate of authenticy is also included, with the title of the image.
Images are printed A4 or A5 so that they can be easily framed locally.
