This painting was sitting in the bold corner of my studio for almost 2 years - I just couldnt get it to work. I painted over it (even the parts I loved) and started again, a bold move. A simple palette. It's now a firm favourite. Never give up! The work you put in always gives back.
In this instance, it's texture and the excavated gold - creating new pathways.
